Marley and Me: Life and Love With the World's Worst Dog - John Grogan

I loved this book! It's a true story of a writer (the author), his new wife and their lab puppy Marley. They adore the dog but he is energetic, playful, destructive and a whole lot of work but very loving at the same time. The book follows the next several years in their lives and all of the changes that come with it - children, moving, new jobs - and Marley is a part of all of it. It's funny, honest and very touching.
