I finally finished! I was reading this with a B&N book club but got way behind. I loved this book! The characters were great - they faced real problems but the author also added a touch of humor here and there. You could tell she was a poet too because her writing had a lyrical quality to it but she didn't go over the top with it. She really knows how to write, how to use word and sounds, but it's still a good story that anyone can understand and appreciate. Does that make sense? I really enjoyed it and now I'll be reading the prequel and any other book she writes.
